DRESS YOUR DRIVE TO IMPRESS
Available in a variety of sizes, and able to cope with two fully laden family 4x4s, or a hard to park micra, SPIN-IT car turntables don’t just turn heads.
KEY FEATURES AND OPTIONS
The following example illustrations show the measurements for a standard Mini Cooper hatchback (2014 onwards) on our smallest 3.8-meter width turntable.
As you can see from the red dotted line, the car overhangs the edge of the turntable a faction, particularly on each corner of the vehicle. We’ve also indicated our preferred minimum safe area around the turntable with the light grey outer line. This is so the car and turntable can spin freely without any obstruction.
OPERATION
All SPIN-IT car turntables comes with the option of either two key fob remotes or a larger handheld unit. The Drive System control cabinet is weatherproof and therefore can be sited outside in the vicinity of the turntable or mounted inside a garage or out building
MAINTENANCE
‘Spin-It’ turntables have been designed with keeping maintenance checks to a minimum. There are relatively few moving parts, however those parts that do move have either been intentionally over-engineered for the tasks they are asked to perform, or they can boast ‘Sealed bearings. As with most things mechanical, we recommend an annual health check to keep the turntable performing at its best.
SAFETY
Soft stop operation, a palm operated safety kill switch and much more are built in to ensure that our customers will enjoy a safe and reliable piece of equipment that will bring huge practical benefits, as well as being a sound investment.
INSTALLATION
There are a number of options available when it comes to installation. As with most things practical, the initial preparation and the quality of that work has a major impact on the finished product. The preparatory ground work necessary when fitting a quality, permanent turntable is not complicated; however, it is vitally important that the groundwork is smooth and flat.
POWER
Our motorised turntables run off a standard 13Amp plug top and use a fraction of the electricity that a kettle does. Motorised models are powered by a robust 240 volt three phase industrial motor, with power being supplied through an inverter enabling the supply to come from a domestic household circuit. The motor drives a friction wheel against the outer circumference of the table, maximising both torque and speed control.
SITE SURVEY AND PRICE
We offer a ‘one stop shop’ facility from design to a professional Installation and commissioning service. And before installation we will visit you and carry out a survey of the site, identifying any potential challenges or obstacles to overcome. For instance your 240 volt power supply may not be within a good distance of the turntable. Or there’s a need to excavate through concrete, and in both these cases there would be an further work and costs. This is why we carry out a site survey prior to finalising your price.
